ABOUT ME
I am a social media marketer with well-rounded experience working in TV (streaming and linear), film, theater, and nonprofits. I’m passionate about popular culture and digital media—and how the intersection of the two can catalyze human connection and build community.
A proud native of the San Francisco Bay Area, I frequently spent time with my family going to the movies and watching television together when I was young. In addition, I loved listening to Broadway cast albums and would watch the Newsies proshot on repeat. I was always fascinated by the many ways people could tell a story, whether on screen or on stage.
Growing up in the internet age, I experimented with different social media platforms to connect with others who shared my passions, running fan pages dedicated to Taylor Swift, superheroes, and Broadway on Google+, Tumblr, and Twitter. These experiences helped me understand how social media can continue a story beyond the screen or stage and include audiences as part of a show’s legacy through online community building.
Currently, I work in social media marketing for New 42, leading content creation and assisting with social strategy for the New Victory Theater and New 42 Studios. I also volunteer as the Digital Communications Strategist for Swifties for Hope (formerly Swifties for Kamala), managing larger online campaigns for the organization.
Previously, I interned at major entertainment brands including Paramount+, NBC, and Universal Pictures/Focus Features, where I learned how social strategies and marketing plans are built and implemented for TV shows and movies such as iCarly, Big Brother, Law and Order, and Asteroid City. I also interned at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, “the philanthropic heart of Broadway,” where my social media content supported two of the nonprofit’s largest fall fundraisers: the Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction and Red Bucket Fall Fundraising Campaign.
I am eager to continue growing as a social media marketer and excited to learn and explore the never-ending ways brands can use social media to create a loyal community.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Established the digital brand voice and social strategy for Swifties for Kamala, and was interviewed by Wired Magazine, and other media outlets, about the work the team and I accomplished.
Spearheaded the first pieces of Instagram collaboration content while working for New 42 Studios, collaborating with Broadway shows such as Suffs, The Notebook, and Some Like It Hot, helping grow the account’s engagement by over 88%.
Ideated and organized a campaign while interning at Paramount+ to enrich The Good Fight’s social conversation, creating a social media series that highlighted relevant sociopolitical issues, which was endorsed and championed by the show’s creators Robert and Michelle King.
Taylor Swift followed my Tumblr fan page in 2014. (And still does!)
